Scenario of the chess holiday “Chess tournament. International Chess Day Chess holiday

Good day, dear readers of our site.

Below, we present to your attention two chess scenarios:

1). Scenario for the children's party "Snow White and the 7 Dwarf Chess Players."

2). Scenario for the “Chessville” holiday.

Scenario for a children's party

"Snow White and the 7 Dwarf Chess Players"

Snow White came to visit the dwarf chess players. They invite her to play chess.

Snow White asks:"Chess? And what is it?"

Gnomes:“You don’t know what chess is?”

Snow White:"No, I do not know."

The gnomes begin to sing and talk about chess.

1st gnome:

Chess is interesting

And it's good for the head,

Chess is learning

Chess is entertainment

That's a lot of friends

It's more fun with a friend.

2nd gnome:

Without a doubt, start

Arrange all the figures.

Pawn, queen, king, horse,

Bishop, rook...

The fat gnome, chewing something, says:"...a sweet bar."

The other gnomes shush Fatman.

3rd gnome:

And we also need a watch,

To find out the time

You won’t have time to checkmate,

So you can lose!

Song and dance “Tick-tock, tick-tock, we can’t live without a watch.”

4th gnome:

We also have elephants

They are long-range

White-field, black-field,

There is no cooler elephant in the bunch.

The elephant is called a light figure

He's easy going,

Everything is fine with dexterity -

For the Queen, the assistant is clever.

Elephant dance.

5th gnome:

The queen is a heavy figure,

Too subtle nature.

The strongest Queen and the fastest

He became the chess minister.

“I really like it for dinner.

Something tasty to eat.

Defenseless Rook?

I’ll swallow it!”

6th gnome:

And now I tell you, friends,

I'll tell you about the King.

The most important, the most important

Our King is a brave fighter.

You won’t get cold feet in a mess -

It will go hand-to-hand.

7th gnome:

The rook has a strong weight,

She swears here and there.

Although she is not graceful

They take her seriously.

And like a submarine

Direct fire

To the unhappy king

The rook shoots accurately.

A song about a horse to the music of the Nikitins “Flying Horses”.

Many people think

That it is inconvenient to play with a horse,

A lot of beginners

Many are second-class.

And only grandmasters think

What horses can do to save

The parties are very poor

There are many world championships.

And only the horse is played with inspiration,

And without a horse you would have died instantly,

Spinning in a waltz on the board of your ideas.

And only horses can chop wonderfully,

Oh, how difficult it is for us to checkmate without a horse,

And only pairs of black and white horses

Dancing tango on the board of your ideas.

Song "Chess Tournament" chords to A Makarevich's song "Puppets".

Chess player like puppeteer:

Pawns dance in a circle.

Study defenses more thoroughly.

Black and white like cells

There are puppets in your hands.

Choose your gambits more cunningly.

We take cardboard into a cage

So that with letter markings.

And the tournament clock began to run.

On the board - what a little

Everything was suddenly mixed up on her:

Chess people are in the middlegame.

Here we are silently watching,

How queens swallow horses

How someone else's king is captured.

He is connected and, obviously,

Mat threatens and it’s so offensive -

The coaching role was not fulfilled.

The tournaments are all over,

And they dispersed around the world,

Someone learned something new.

And the figures in the boxes

Everything was put on shelves

Those who created this holiday.

Snow White:

- What a wonderful game - chess. Let's play together!

Scenario for the holiday "Chessville"

In the distant kingdom

In the Chessville-state

Ruled by the black king Ronaldino

And he had a daughter - Princess Ferzelina.

All the nobility and ordinary people in Chessville

Black clothes and black hats were worn.

Song to the music of Amhrán na gCupán – When I’m gone as Gaeilge

Verse 1:
There's a young princess here in the tower
With a white veil on her face.
She has a unicorn horse
I wish I could figure out how he walks without legs.
Chorus:
Oh, Chessville! Oh, Chessville!
The land of queens and kings.
The judges are strict, to be honest, but the rules are also strict, yes.
But we are a persistent team.
Verse 2:
The king commands the parade,
The rook blows a shining horn,
Pawn soldiers marching
And a beautiful black-squared bishop.

Chorus 2 times.
………………………………………………….

The country stretched out next to them,

Which was called Shakhmatshir.

The country was ruled by Anne - the white queen

I followed the dress code and ordered it to the courtiers.

Prince Brandon is the queen's son,

He was a brave and strong knight.

States among themselves
They've been fighting for 300 years

Because some are white,

And others wore black clothes.

Rooks with Bishops
They went out to duels,

Pawns in the snow and in the heat

They sat in the trenches.

One day the prince and princess separately

We were returning home from horseback riding.

Their horses collided at the crossroads

And they smiled at each other.

Until now we have not seen the kingdom
Such a cosmic miracle:

Black Princess and White Prince

We fell in love with each other!

After such an event on the road

Ferzelina's dad was in shock for a week,

And Brandon's mom, look -

I drank sedative tea number three!

They say: “Where are you going?

You will fall in love and get married!”

Unrest has calmed down

And changes came to life.

States concluded
Settlement agreement
Accepted political
Mutual decision.

The herald loudly announces:

“Listen to the new law for both kingdoms!

From now on, if the young lady

wants to get married -

Let the white dress

She dresses you down the aisle.”

Chess is not only an intellectual game, but a real science and a difficult sports competition. For a long time they were the privilege of exclusively kings and representatives of aristocratic society.

Today it is difficult to find at least one person in the world who has never laid out pieces on the board or who does not know the rules of this ancient game. Millions of people around the world are fans of chess, and thematic tournaments are held in many countries every year. This activity not only gives a lot of positive emotions, but helps to develop intelligence, creative thinking, memory, form and improve individual qualities, the desire to win, perseverance, intelligence, self-discipline, concentration and more.

With the development of computer technology and the Internet, chess has become much easier to play and has become even more popular. Just a few years ago it was very difficult to find books devoted to this strategy. All literature was instantly sold out. Some people were forced to play by correspondence, telling each other the moves in numerous letters. Depending on the distance between the chess players, one game often lasted several years.

For many years, since 1966, in all corners of the planet, World Chess Day is celebrated every year on July 20, established by the decision of FIDE, an international organization that was founded back in 1924. Currently, 170 different federations are its participants. FIDE's main activity is to spread and develop the game around the world, as well as to promote and increase the level of chess knowledge and culture. Members of the organization establish the rules of the game, the conditions for holding international competitions, and assign world chess titles. Currently, under the auspices of FIDE, over 40 official tournaments are organized for the younger generation, the elderly, women and men.

The very name of chess comes from the Persian language; it literally translates as the ruler died. India is considered the birthplace of the game, where its predecessor, chaturanga, originated in the fifth century. In Rus', this activity appeared approximately in the 9-10 centuries. Chess is a board game. The board is divided into 64 cells, where 32 different pieces are located (16 black and white). The game involves two people. The point of the strategy is to checkmate the opponent's king. According to official data from FIDE, chess is currently recognized as a sport in 105 countries around the world. In our country, in almost every city there is a club where chess fans gather. Every year on July 20, they host tournaments, entertainment events, and educational lectures.

On July 20, 2004, world chess champion Anatoly Karpov took part in a simultaneous game held in the Kremlin. During the event, he drew with Vladimir Zhirinovsky. The rivals used artistic diamond figurines worth a total of 150 thousand dollars.

History of chess

Chess is an exciting activity that requires players to concentrate their attention, clear logical thinking and the ability to see the perspective of actions. It is both a sport and a game that takes place on a black and white field of 64 squares. Today, despite the proliferation of various computer games, they are just as in demand as before. World-class sports competitions among professional and amateur chess players are held everywhere.

The history of this board logic game goes back many centuries. The development of this intellectual competition is based on an ancient legend, according to which the game was created by an Indian Brahmin. He demonstrated the versatility of solutions that can be created on a field of 64 cells.

The ancestor of chess is the game chaturanga, which reflected military actions involving four branches of troops under the leadership of a leader. The carved figures replaced people and war elephants, and the battlefield was a square board. Over time, the game transformed and acquired rules and restrictions. It soon turned into a mind game.

During the Middle Ages, the Arabs became interested in it. Then it found its fans in Spain, and from there it spread throughout Europe. Gradually, chess became known throughout the world and over time acquired features characteristic of the modern game. The first world competition took place in America in 1886. Its champion was Steinitz, who broke down the course of the game into separate stages and objectively assessed the possible actions of his opponent. Steinitz's logical conclusion formed the basis of the scientific approach to chess.

The USSR joined FIDE after the end of World War II. Soon Soviet chess players gained worldwide fame.

Today, dramatic changes are taking place in the chess world. In the 21st century, the electronic brain began to act as a competitor to man. But the essence of the game has not changed. The excitement that players experience during an intellectual competition against the computer remains as exciting as before.

This holiday in other countries

As in Russia, International Chess Day takes place on July 20 in 178 countries, including Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Belarus.

A favorite hobby helps a person relax after “righteous labors” at work, take a break from routine on weekends, and in moments of spiritual adversity, lift one’s spirits. An interesting hobby can maximize the creative potential of a subject, awaken previously dormant but very important character traits, and even achieve recognition in life. But if some bright hobbies require only your own desire, arms/legs and head, then others require a partner. These are, for example, logic games: checkers, backgammon. Today we will talk about chess, because a holiday is dedicated to this “trainer” of mental activity - International Chess Day.

History of the holiday International Chess Day

International Chess Day falls annually on July 20, at the height of summer. In 2014, it will be exactly 90 years since the establishment of the International Chess Federation FIDE (Federation Internationale des Echecs) - this is precisely the date we were targeting when establishing International Chess Day in the hottest month of the hot season (this happened precisely on July 20) . International Chess Day itself began to be celebrated only in 1966, by decision of the association mentioned above.

We should tell you a little about the initiator of the creation of a world-scale chess event. FIDE is a non-governmental organization. All major national chess associations are gathered under its “wing.” FIDE is dedicated to improving the quality of the culture within the game of chess and the knowledge gained by those who have connected their lives with this intellectual pursuit. Its functions also include the formation, establishment of game rules, organization of tournaments and championships. It is FIDE representatives who make the decision to award certain titles and awards in a given sporting field to persons who deserve them, and carry out this process. The organization includes more than 150 national federations. The next day, under the control of the International Chess Federation, about 50 official competitive events are held for people of all ages and all professions.

History of chess

International Chess Day is a great opportunity to take a look at a page of history.

It is believed that the game, which requires the use of logic, was invented by the ancient Indians along with yoga, Ayurveda and aromatherapy. This is the main version, however, there is still no reliable evidence of it. In any case, chess is over two thousand years old, which means that the game of intricate pieces originated before the advent of our era. The name of the puzzle in those days was “chaturanga”, translated from Sanskrit into Russian it means “four armies”. Each of the “troops” had four types of weapons: infantry, elephants, chariots and cavalry (in Indian hasti, ratha, ashva, padati). The first chess consisted of only 4 pieces, they “walked” across a field of 9 * 9 cells. Another version of the name is chaturraja (“game of four kings”). And indeed, this hobby became widespread among the rulers of that era, because in this way they could practice combat strategy or simply kill time while there were no bloody wars in reality. Gradually they moved from four pieces to 64, and the board also acquired 64 squares.

From India, the game of chess spread to Asian countries. It enjoyed enormous popularity in Iran (VI century), and one century later it captured the minds of the Arabs. These people named chess with the word “shatranj”. Thanks to the Arabs, this game has become much clearer and more interesting. It should be noted that the improvement process continued for more than a century.

What has been preserved in the current version of the game of chess from the ancient version? Very little. For example, the moves of the rook, knight and king, and the purpose of the maneuvers, have not changed at all. Today, it is probably surprising to true connoisseurs and lovers of the game of chess that the weakest piece in the game at that time was not a pawn, but... a queen. The bishop's move was a diagonal jump across one square. In addition, the Arab version of the chess match was famous for the highest level of culture.

What happened to the spread of the game across European territory? Unfortunately, chess here experienced a significant decline before it even began to develop. It lasted approximately 5 centuries. The reasons for this were the era of feudalism that reigned in those days and the significant influence of the church. The moral and cultural level of the game especially suffered - many perceived the latter solely as a gambling pastime with the aim of obtaining monetary gain. In the 13th century, chess fell into the category of forbidden pastimes, but already in the middle of the 14th century the taboo was lifted. The main reason for the sluggish development of shatranj in Europe was the slow gameplay. Gradually people realized what was what and set about improving the game. As a result, we know chess as it is now.

In Russia, the logical hobby came directly from the East, preserving specific terminology. Just like in Europe, chess survived persecution by church officials and even government authorities. However, the situation was saved by mere mortals - they continued to play chess despite everything. Only at the beginning of the 19th century did the game fall into the officially recognized category, as evidenced by the wave of the formation of thematic circles and the publication of chess printed publications.

Types of chess

Chaturanga, which is the direct ancestor of modern chess, gave rise to not only the game that is now popular throughout the world. There are other types of logic puzzles - we will talk about several of the most interesting ones right now.

Fairytale chess differs from the generally accepted ones in that it has slightly modified rules of the game and new pieces. This chess was played at the beginning of the last century. The countries in which this option is most widespread are Germany, Holland, Great Britain, and Eastern European countries.

Fairytale chess contributed to the emergence of another variety: cylindrical chess. Their main feature is that the shape of the board here is quite unusual - curved in the form of a cylinder (hence the name of the variation of the game), that is, the peripheral lines touch. Spherical, spherical, and ring-shaped chess were developed using the same principle.

Swedish chess is popular in Scandinavian countries. According to the rules of the game, four people can participate in the process: two in two. Of course, you need two boards. The whole point is that within the same team they play with pieces of different colors, and those pieces that belonged to the opponent, but were “eaten”, are given to each other. Each participant has the right to involve them in the game process. Swedish chess is perhaps the most unpredictable version of the logic puzzle, and the most exciting. By the way, they have a variety - crazy house. Here the game already involves the participation of two people, and the process takes place on one board. This is a very convenient option for playing with a computer.

It is unlikely that you will now have any questions about what to do on the weekend, and even more so there will be no difficulties with holding International Chess Day! Play for the benefit of your mind!
